The Challenge
The client in Russia faced a critical operational bottleneck: their MOROOKA MST2200 fleet needed to operate in extreme sub-zero temperatures while carrying full 10-15 ton loads across permafrost and swampy mining terrains

The original undercarriages were aging, and the client required a solution that not only matched the original OEM specifications but also enhanced
structural durability against metal fatigue caused by thermal expansion and contraction.
The Engineering Solution
Our engineering team at YIKANG conducted a comprehensive analysis of the MST2200’s torque requirements and weight distribution. We moved beyond simple replication, implementing several design enhancements:
• Reinforced Frame Geometry: We utilized high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel for the main frame, specifically treated for low-temperature toughness to prevent brittle fractures.
• Adaptive Roller System: Designed a heavy-duty bogie wheel system that ensures even pressure distribution, significantly reducing rubber track wear and improving ground contact on uneven Siberian terrains.
• Advanced Rubber Track Integration: Integrated premium grade rubber tracks with internal high-tensile steel cords, optimized for the MST2200’s high-drive sprocket system to prevent de-tracking during high-torque maneuvers.
• Hydraulic System Synchronization: Each unit was pre-calibrated to ensure seamless “Plug-and-Play” integration with the existing MOROOKA hydraulic drive motors.
